Francis, who holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Université de Sherbrooke and a certificate in sports management from New York University, can count on a team with solid hockey knowledge to support him in managing the team.
Samuel Tétreault hails from the region and is just 22 years old. After a stint in school hockey with Massey-Vanier and in midget espoir, Mr. Tétreault headed for the United States to pursue his career. After a few seasons with the U.S. juniors and the Saint-Jérôme Panthères of the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League, the new dg made the leap to the pros last year. He moved to Sweden, where he played for Tyringe in Sweden’s third division, HockeyEttan. He also played in the Federal League with the Hat Tricks of Danbury, Connecticut. Derrick Jacobs is a local lad who played Junior AAA in Cowansville and Coaticook. Then in the LHSE, the now-defunct LHSCE and the LNAH, playing at several locations in Quebec including Saint-Hyacinthe, Saguenay, Jonquière, Rivière-du-Loup and Waterloo. He is also an experienced and passionate coach who will bring his expertise and motivation to our team.
Colin has lived in Cowansville for almost 20 years, but grew up in Waterloo and played minor, junior and senior hockey with the Maroons. Colin has already been involved as a coach with minor hockey in Cowansville, and last year with the Massey-Vanier school governors. For him, this is a new stage in his career. Moving from coaching young talent to senior athletes, Colin brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of player development.
